Üsküdar Üniversitesi, with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Istanbul Development Agency, and offered to young entrepreneurs by Üsküdar Municipality, welcomed young entrepreneur Burak Kızılgeçit as this week's guest of the "Atölye Üsküdar" Webinar seminars of the "Atölye Üsküdar Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center".

Aiming to disseminate R&D, innovation, and entrepreneurship culture across all segments of society, the workshop seminar was moderated by Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, Director of Üsküdar University's Young Brains Academy. During the program, computer engineer and young entrepreneur Burak Kızılgeçit made evaluations regarding entrepreneurship.
“An entrepreneur manages risk”
Kızılgeçit, emphasizing the importance of setting out with a plan based on truly solid support, said; “Young entrepreneur friends should establish a company after their products emerge and they trust their products. Because they incur very serious costs. This situation can challenge new entrepreneurs. That's why passing these stages is very important. An entrepreneur is one who manages risk. An entrepreneur should plan their opportunities and threats in the best possible way by managing risk on this journey.”
“My goal was to cognitively support children's education”
Kızılgeçit, also touching upon his own entrepreneurial project, said; “My goal on this entrepreneurial journey was to cognitively support children's education. You cannot see how your child's brain works or processes information, nor which interest area is stronger. Every parent's biggest concern is their children. From this perspective, we aimed for an initiative that supports children's brain development, shows them how much more they can develop through very deep analyses, and aims to bring their brain capacities to the maximum. Our target audience is between 6-14 years old. The brains of this age group are truly very open to development and can learn quickly, developing neural networks very easily.”
“It is very important to think and design creative things”
Kızılgeçit continued his words by saying; “First and foremost, our youth need to think, design, and create products. This could even be a psychological product that influences human behavior. It is very important to think, design, and carefully filter through all considerations, to conceive and design creative things. This should not only apply to entrepreneurs but to all people, so that we question our surroundings.”
