Üsküdar University Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Psychology (English) Department faculty member and Vice Head of Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Merve Çebi, was awarded one of the limited number of short-term 'postdoctoral young visiting researcher' scholarships provided by the French Embassy for Turkish researchers.

To Work with the World's Leading Neuroimaging Laboratory…

Assistant Professor Dr. Çebi served as a visiting researcher in June and July as part of the scholarship, at the Neurofunctional Imaging Group (GIN-IMN) laboratory of the Institute of Neurodegenerative Diseases, affiliated with the University of Bordeaux in France.
Invited by the laboratory head Prof. Dr. Michel Thiebaut de Schotten, Dr. Çebi visited GIN-IMN, one of the world's leading neuroimaging laboratories, where she initiated a new study to examine structural connectivity disorders of functional memory networks in stroke patients.
With this visit, aimed at increasing academic cooperation between Turkey and France, the first important step for future joint studies was taken.
