The Youth Club, affiliated with the Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department of Üsküdar University, organized the “Republic and Youth Festival in the New Century” as part of the October 29 Republic Day celebrations. While the 102nd anniversary of our Republic was celebrated with great enthusiasm, over 5,000 students experienced colorful and fun moments on campus. Additionally, within the scope of the 102nd year, the History Club presented the “Republic Day Press and Archive Exhibition” to students.

While the festival took place in the Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus garden, the exhibition met students in the Güney Campus garden.
Students, academic, and administrative staff showed great participation in the festival. The festival, which took place with the participation of thousands of students, had an atmosphere full of music, dance, and club activities throughout the day.
The voice of youth should echo everywhere in the new century of the Republic…
Faruk Dündar, President of the Youth Club, who carried out the general coordination of the festival, said: “In the new century of our Republic, as the youth of Üsküdar University, we wanted to celebrate this great heritage with enthusiasm. As the Youth Club, we did not only create an event; we fostered a spirit of unity and solidarity. With the support of our Health, Culture, and Sports Department, we felt the energy of our students in every corner of the campus.”

“The Stage is Yours” competition was held
As part of the festival, a “The Stage is Yours” singing competition was organized. Six students took the stage to showcase their performances, and “Üsküdar University’s best voice” was chosen by student votes. The competition concluded with intense interest and enthusiasm from the participants.
Concert excitement on campus…
The festival then continued with an energetic concert by Medusa and Berk Bendis. The young people from Üsküdar who filled the campus sang along to the songs, fully experiencing the joy of Republic Day. Additionally, local folk dance performances created colorful scenes where different cultures coexisted.

Colorful promotions from clubs
As part of the festival, many student clubs, from the Anesthesia Club to the Design Club, set up stands to showcase their work. Each club introduced its activities and projects, gaining new members. This allowed students to get to know the social life within the university closely and actively participate.
At the same time, the Youth Club team meticulously coordinated the process, from planning to arranging the stand area.
Throughout the event, the clubs had the opportunity to meet new members and reflect the energy of campus life with the fun activities they organized.

Republic Day Press and Archive Exhibition also organized
The History Club of Üsküdar University, in line with its mission to shed light on historical sources documenting the traces of the past, organized a special Press Exhibition within the scope of the 102nd anniversary of the Republic.
The exhibition aimed to connect the spirit of 1923 with today's youth through headlines, news, and visuals featured in the newspapers of that period during the proclamation of the Republic.
The exhibition also aimed to emphasize the historical role of the press, its function as the voice of national will, and the Republic's place in collective memory.
