The “Silent Art of Tissues and Cells” exhibition was organized by the Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS). The exhibition was open to visitors at the Çarşı Campus between December 1–3 and at the Health Campus on December 9–10, where it received considerable interest.

The exhibition was prepared under the coordination of Prof. İbrahim Öztek, Head of the Medical Pathology Department at Üsküdar University Faculty of Medicine, and Instructor Eda Yetimoğlu, Ph.D., Head of the VSHS Pathology Laboratory Techniques Program.
The opening ceremony was attended by Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Director of VSHS, Assoc. Prof. Feride Kulalı Özdek, Deputy Director, as well as academic staff and students.

Tissue samples forming the foundation of pathology were exhibited
The exhibition featured macroscopic and microscopic tissue samples that form the foundation of pathology, presented alongside visual materials. The works explored the macroscopic characteristics of organ tissues, cellular structures, the outcomes of different staining techniques, and the morphological reflections of diseases on tissue structures in detail.

Where science meets art
The exhibition aimed to demonstrate that pathology is not merely a technical laboratory discipline but can also transform scientific knowledge into an aesthetic narrative through the unique forms, colors, and textures inherent in cells and tissues.
In this respect, the exhibition highlighted the intersection of science and art.
The event made a significant contribution to students’ professional development by enhancing their skills in identifying and interpreting pathological structures and by encouraging them to evaluate their field from a broader and more interdisciplinary perspective.
