The “Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Student Congress” was organized by the Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Within the scope of the congress, students had the opportunity to present their projects prepared in different disciplines in an academic setting. In the congress, which included students from many departments ranging from engineering to bioengineering, forensic sciences to molecular biology and genetics, innovative and interdisciplinary studies were shared, while the development of research culture and the promotion of scientific production were aimed.

The congress, held at Üsküdar University Main Campus Nermin Tarhan Conference Hall and Kuleli Hall, was attended by many academics and students, including Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Osman Çerezci.

Prof. Osman Çerezci: “We aim for the congress to become a strong academic platform”

Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Prof. Osman Çerezci delivered the opening speech of the congress. Çerezci said; “The event holds significant value for sharing the outcomes of project courses conducted within our faculty. It is also very valuable for our students to develop their research culture and participate more actively in the academic production process. We aim for this organization, which is the product of an intense preparation period, to evolve into a more broadly participated and stronger academic platform in the coming years.”

The congress can be carried to an international dimension in the future

Stating that they designated the short name of the event as ‘ÖPK’ (Student Project Congress), Çerezci expressed his satisfaction that students would present their projects prepared with great effort. Çerezci also stated that the congress could be carried to an international dimension in the future.
