Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Head of the Software Engineering Department at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, who successfully served as Rector's Advisor, has been appointed as Vice Rector. Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel, Head of the Software Engineering Department at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, who has held many important positions and carried out successful work since the establishment of Üsküdar University, also serves as the Director of Üsküdar University's Institute of Health Sciences. Ergüzel, who was also a Rector's Advisor, has now been appointed as Vice Rector.
Prof. Ergüzel, who also serves as the Director of the Health Sciences Institute, will be responsible for R&D, internationalization, corporate scientific performance development, and strategy development processes.
Who is Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel?
Prof. Dr. Türker Tekin Ergüzel was born in Sakarya in 1978. He completed his undergraduate, master's, and doctoral studies in 2000, 2003, and 2009 respectively, at Marmara University, Department of Electronic-Computer Education, Computer-Control Education program. He completed his master's thesis on 'Web-Based Education of Data Structures'. Ergüzel, who completed his undergraduate and master's degrees with first honors, completed his doctoral work on 'Process Control with Genetic-Ant Colony Optimization Algorithm (ACO)'. He has numerous international publications and peer reviews on system modeling, controller design for real-time systems, artificial intelligence methods, and EEG signal processing. Prof. Ergüzel, who speaks English, focused on real-time robot arm control with EEG signals in his graduate theses.
Since 2012, Dr. Ergüzel has been serving as a faculty member at Üsküdar University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Specializing in system modeling, neuroimaging, deep learning, fuzzy logic, and optimization under the umbrella of artificial intelligence, Dr. Ergüzel's work in this field focuses on neuroscience-oriented big data analysis, as well as developing diagnostic and prognostic models using neuroimaging data with deep learning algorithms. Dr. Ergüzel is a father of two children named Ayşe Nil and Kerim Mete.
