Pektaş provided important information to the participants regarding the topic of “The Title Deed of the Book: Ex-libris”.
“Collecting this art is not widespread in our country”
In the program followed by 65 people, Pektaş provided information about the status of ex-libris in Turkey and art education. Pektaş stated that ex-libris was introduced in Turkey through books acquired from the West, saying, “There is a seal in the Ottoman tradition. The seal is not ex-libris, but it is a mark of ownership. Ex-libris education has been provided in art schools since the 2000s. Collecting this art is not widespread in our country.”
