Üsküdar University hosted students from Validebağ Science High School for a three-day Model United Nations (MUN) conference, where participants had the opportunity to debate global issues in simulated UN committees. The event, which blended academic content with engaging social activities, provided participants with both knowledge and practical experience.

Over 350 Participants in a Dynamic Three-Day Program
Held at Üsküdar University’s Çarşı Campus, the MUN conference welcomed around 370 attendees, including the organizing team. In this simulation-based educational experience, students represented various countries and institutions, tackling pressing international matters in structured committee sessions.

Delegates Represented Countries in UN Committees
Throughout the event, students took on the role of delegates in various UN committees. The simulation allowed them to strengthen key skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, decision-making, and negotiation. Debates on selected global topics helped raise awareness about international issues among participants.

Social Activities Created a Vibrant Atmosphere
Beyond academic sessions, the conference also featured interactive social activities such as sack races and tug of war, creating a dynamic and enjoyable environment for students to bond and unwind.

Aiming for Both Academic and Social Development
The event not only introduced prospective students to the university setting, but also encouraged high school participants to analyze, discuss, and propose solutions to real-world challenges. Evaluations at the end of the conference highlighted the program’s success in terms of both content and impact.
