A seminar titled “Mind Construction and the Quest for Meaning with Mana-i Harfi” was held in cooperation with Üsküdar University, Risale-i Nur Institute, and Şekercihan Association. Prof. Dr. Necati Aydın from Alfaisal University's Finance Department was a guest at the seminar. Emphasizing that irreligion is spreading like a religion, Aydın pointed out that there is unconscious deism. Prof. Dr. Necati Aydın stated that a process has begun that disconnects humanity from its Creator, and that humanity has forgotten its own truth.
In the seminar held at Üsküdar University's Çarşı Campus Yuşa Conference Hall, Prof. Dr. Necati Aydın made important evaluations under the title of mind construction and the search for meaning.
Dr. Lecturer Nafi Yalçın from Üsküdar University's Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, English Translation and Interpreting Department, also attended the seminar.
"There is unconscious deism"
Prof. Dr. Necati Aydın, pointing out that irreligion is spreading like a religion, stated that a deistic religiosity is being experienced. Aydın said; “The fastest growing religion in the world is not Islam, but irreligion. Irreligion is spreading like a religion. This situation has surpassed 50 percent in Europe. There is also an increase among Muslims. The biggest danger here is that a person says 'I believe' but unconsciously adopts a hidden deistic understanding. When you look at modern Muslims and question their minds, there is an unconscious deism. Even if one is religious, a deistic religiosity is at play. A process has begun that disconnects humanity from its Creator…
Prof. Dr. Necati Aydın, stating that the secular understanding is spreading effectively, said; “A process has begun that disconnects us from our Lord, from the one who created humanity. This disconnection happens as follows: first, they tell people; ‘You have power, believe in yourself, trust yourself, discover your power, rely on your power, you don't need Allah.’ Under the guise of motivation and personal development, they injected an understanding, a secular understanding, into people's minds that separates individuals from Allah. For example, Tony Robbins says, ‘Discover the unlimited power within you, you have unlimited power, discover that power and rely on it.’ We see this message spreading very effectively. There's even an idea that says, ‘If you are helpless, you are the solution.’ In reality, the exact opposite is true. ‘If you are the solution, you are helpless.’ Because you have no power, what will you rely on, how will you find a solution? This is actually the problem humanity falls into, forgetting its own truth…” he stated.
