A Hankando seminar was organized by the Sports Club, operating under the Health, Culture and Sports (SKS) Department of Üsküdar Üniversitesi. During the seminar, Hankando's philosophy, its place in martial arts, and its unique techniques were conveyed by expert instructors. Within the scope of the event, comprehensive information on the basic principles of Hankando martial art and combat psychology was presented to the participants.

The seminar, held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi Central Campus Ayhan Songar Hall, hosted Master Özcan Keskin, Master Engin Hakverdi, and Master Fatma Betül Aycan.

Participants were informed about the fundamental principles, unique techniques, and combat psychology of the Hankando martial art. Throughout the seminar, the contributions of the Hankando system to the formation of a strong and robust personality, the importance of combat psychology, the system's unique philosophy, and its technical richness were discussed.

Özcan Keskin: “Hankando is a local and national self-defense art”
Master Özcan Keskin spoke about the origin and philosophy of Hankando. Keskin stated; “Hankando is a self-defense and combat art established and developed by our founder Grandmaster Şenel İlhan, with its unique techniques and philosophy. It is one of our local and national self-defense arts. The word Hankando literally means ‘The Path of Noble Khans.’”
Emphasizing that Hankando does not fit everyone into a single mold, Keskin stated that the system can be applied with personalized programs suitable for every age and physique. Keskin also expressed that Hankando teaches strategic thinking and warrior psychology, stating that this approach enhances individuals' ability to cope with challenging situations.
Within the scope of the event, a scene from the movie titled “Adanış: Kutsal Kavga” was also shown.

Fatma Betül Aycan: “Self-defense is a journey of self-discovery”
Master Fatma Betül Aycan commented on the place of women in combat sports and self-protection arts. Aycan emphasized that self-defense sports are not only a physical but also a mental strengthening process for women, stating; “Our primary goal is to help women discover themselves and acquire a personalized style. For women, self-defense is a journey of self-discovery.”
Aycan stated that with proper training and strategy, physical disadvantages can be turned into advantages, emphasizing that muscle strength is not the sole determinant in combat, and demonstrated some Hankando techniques for women practically.

Engin Hakverdi: “Impact in the shortest time with street logic”
Master Engin Hakverdi also touched upon the martial art logic of Hankando, stating that the reality of the tatami and the street are different. Hakverdi emphasized that combat in a street environment is very short-lived, saying; “The fundamental logic of Hankando is to achieve the most effective result in the shortest time.” and presented various techniques to the participants.


The Hankando Seminar, which was the first event of the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Sports Club, continued with practical demonstrations.
The program concluded with a group photo session.
