Halide İncekara, Director of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Center for Application and Research for Gifted Children (ÖYEMER) and Rector's Advisor for Projects, held an interview titled 'The Value Added by Women to Management Cadres: The Right to Vote and Be Elected'. Meeting with students from various high schools, İncekara spoke about the power of women and the solid construction of the future.

The event held at Üsküdar Üniversitesi NP Sağlık Campus İbni Sina Auditorium was attended by leading figures from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education and numerous high school students affiliated with the Istanbul Student Council.

The interview was moderated by Canan Ağyürek from the R&D Unit of the Provincial Directorate of National Education.

In her speech, İncekara emphasized the values added by Turkish women to social and political life. On the 90th anniversary of Turkish women gaining the right to vote and be elected on December 5th, she delivered important messages regarding women's historical struggle and their role in contemporary society.

“Women having equal rights is a societal necessity”

Emphasizing that youth are not just the power of the future but also of today, İncekara said; “Show the courage to intervene in life and make a difference. Today, women's representation in society and politics may seem insufficient, but this situation must change. When women and men act together, we build a stronger society. Women having equal rights is not just an individual gain, but a societal necessity.”

“Politics without women means incomplete politics”

Highlighting the roles of women in politics and social spheres, Halide İncekara emphasized the importance of equal representation in this area. İncekara stated; “Women and men are complementary to each other. Politics without women means incomplete politics. Everything a woman touches becomes beautiful because women think not only in terms of results but also from a human-centered perspective. Unfortunately, women's representation in politics is still very low. We must transition from a male-dominated societal understanding to a societal model where women and men are equally represented.”

“The future is in your hands…”

Advising the youth, İncekara stated that young people should believe in themselves. İncekara said; “It's not just about doing a job well, but also knowing why and how you do it. Don't give up on your dreams to make a difference. Act according to your own talents and passions, not according to others' expectations. The future is in your hands, so act now to shape it in the best possible way.”

The interview program continued with answering questions from high school students.

The organized program concluded with a gift presentation and a group photo session.
