Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Health Sciences held the first 'Perfusion Days Event'. During the event, presentations prepared by 4th-year students as part of their graduation projects and current information about perfusion were discussed.

First 'Perfusion Days Event' Takes Place

“Üsküdar Üniversitesi Achieved a First”
The opening speech of the program was delivered by Prof. Dr. Şefik Dursun, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences. Dursun said: “Üsküdar Üniversitesi has achieved a first. Since I came to Üsküdar Üniversitesi, Ali Hodja's goal has been to establish perfusion education and postgraduate programs. It happens when you persevere. Despite the pandemic, the undergraduate program is going very well. We offer our students the best possible opportunities. Our instructors Ali and İsmail are not idle; they provide the opportunities that have arisen around them for our students to develop. This is a very important support for us.”
4th-Year Students Presented Their Graduation Projects!
In the first session of the event, which consisted of three sessions in total, Üsküdar Üniversitesi Perfusion Department final year students Aleyna Zeycan Köse, Ebru Nur Kabakbaş and Miray Satıcı presented their talks titled “Antegrade Selective Cerebral Perfusion”, and İrem Kısa, Ali Furkan and Gülnur Demir presented their talks titled “Cannulation Methods and Cannula Selection”.
While Yusuf Altundal, Ayhan Demirelli, Aylin Akova and Ekrem Almalıoğlu presented their talks titled “Cardioplegia Solutions”, Dilara Aybi, Elif Eğribük, Aybüke Özkan and Sevgi Yapalak presented their talks titled “Cardioplegia Methods” in the 2nd session of the program.
In the last session of the event, Emre Can Demiray, Muhammet Murat Tosun, Muhammet Sait Ödemiş and Sümeyra Türkmen presented their talks titled “Modified Ultrafiltration”, Zehra İnce, Meryem Özer, Beren Açıkel and Şükran Meydan presented their talks titled “Hemodilution”, and Neslihan Erzurum, Sema Nur Taştan, Dilara Ayaz and Zeynep İrten presented their talks titled “Blood Conservation Methods”.
