Üsküdar University provides practical and application opportunities to its Child Development Department students in the laboratory it has established. To prepare qualified and well-equipped experts in the field, “Child Development Research and Application Units” were opened to enable students to put their knowledge and education into practice. The units were visited by Üsküdar University Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör. The “Child Development Research and Application Units,” opened at Üsküdar University’s Çarşı Campus, significantly contribute to the training of qualified child development specialists of the future. Students get the chance to apply their theoretical knowledge in real life and develop their talents and skills in this field. These new units aim to train qualified specialists in the field of child development.
Shedding light on the future of children
The “Child Development Research and Application Units,” located within the Üsküdar University Faculty of Health Sciences, are important for developmental diagnosis, monitoring, and evaluation, which are among the most fundamental and sensitive applications in the child development profession.
These units not only enable the developmental assessment, diagnosis, and monitoring of children aged 0-18 but also provide Child Development students with the opportunity to reinforce their theoretical knowledge through one-on-one evaluations with children and practical lessons.
Scientific and effective educational approach
In this regard, students participate in “Early Childhood Development Research Laboratories,” engage in scientific studies, gain experience in this field, and can progress towards becoming scientists.
Thus, it is aimed that students graduating from the Child Development department will be equipped with accurate knowledge and skills and will be able to play an active role in the profession, taking into account the principle of the child's best interest.
