Üsküdar University has taken a strategic step in line with its vision to strengthen academic, scientific, and cultural ties with universities across the Turkic world and has been accepted as a member of the Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB).
Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör stated, “We are accelerating our collaboration processes with our sister universities.”

This membership marks a significant milestone in Üsküdar University’s efforts to expand its scientific and academic outreach with partner institutions in fraternal regions.

A platform bringing together universities of the Turkic World
The Union of Turkic Universities (TÜRKÜNİB) operates as a prestigious organization that unites distinguished higher education institutions from Turkic-speaking countries under one umbrella. The Union aims to promote information and experience sharing among its members, develop joint research projects, and enhance student and academic mobility. Alongside Türkiye, many respected universities from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, and Hungary are members of TÜRKÜNİB. Through initiatives such as joint diploma programs, academic exchange projects, quality assurance systems in education, and collaborative scientific publications, the Union fosters a robust network of interaction among universities across the Turkic world.
