With the proliferation of digital technologies in society, communication has become much more comprehensive and complex. Communication tools powered by digital technologies affect, change and transform people and society. The reason why we continue to refer to digital media as "new" is because of the difficulty in keeping track of this impact, change and transformation. Digital communication technologies, which are extremely dynamic, constantly renewing themselves and causing new effects, create the need for comprehensive and continuous research.
Üsküdar University Human-Oriented Application and Research Center ILIMER focuses on the relationship between different communication technologies and human beings and aims to conduct research on the interaction of new media technologies with people and society, and to organize events and organizations that will provide social benefit. While we are experiencing that technological tools produced to be beneficial for human beings go in the opposite direction of their purpose and harm humanity, social values and culture, events and research that bring together academic perspective and sector experience to reverse this process are important for identifying problems and finding effective solutions.
