The American stand up artist Max Amini, who tours around the world, visited NPİSTANBUL Hospital, chatted with Üsküdar University students, and once again won the hearts of his fans in Türkiye with this special meeting held at Üsküdar University.

Max Amini took the stage for Üsküdar University students at the Ibn Sina Auditorium in the NP Health Campus in Ümraniye and spent an enjoyable day with the students.

Golden advice for students

Starting his show with a lively conversation with the students, Amini offered valuable advice that could guide young people in their lives. “Find out who you are and explore that in depth. Those who do not read books will be left behind. The more you express yourself, the more you share, the more friends and deeper friendships you will find. Please spend time with artificial intelligence every day and improve these skills so that you will not fall behind. Follow your passions,” Amini said. Regarding family pressure, he added, “Find a balance, give them love, but prioritize yourself as well.”

Posing the humorous question “Who is the best comedian in the world?” Amini was met with enthusiastic chants of “Max Amini!” from the audience.

My intention is to make people happy

When asked where he draws the line in his jokes, Amini explained the secret of comedy with the following words:

“What makes a joke funny is its relatability. You can connect with it, right? So, first of all, there is relatability. Now, where is the line? The line is a very sensitive matter. Very sensitive. Because what may seem like an insult to one nation may appear perfectly normal to another. But I can say this: if the artist's intention is good, even if it touches someone personally, you know, this is understood. I believe you should have a kind spirit and present yourself fearlessly. I know my own boundaries. And I play right up to the line, because as a comedian, if you do not push the limits, it will not be funny. If I come on stage and say only very basic things, then you will say, ‘Oh, this comedian is very boring.’ My intention is to make people happy, not to hurt anyone's feelings.”

Having started his career in 2002 and being a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, Max Amini toured the hospital and the university campus after the show, engaged in conversation with students, and once again won the hearts of his fans in Türkiye with this special gathering at Üsküdar University.
