President of Üsküdar University and Psychiatrist Prof. Nevzat Tarhan attended the 4th Rational and Scientific Supplement Summit. During the summit, Tarhan delivered a presentation titled “Personalized Treatment in Neuroinflammation,” emphasizing that leaving a patient untreated is also a form of harm. He also highlighted that the most expensive treatment is an ineffective one.
The “4th Rational and Scientific Supplement Summit” was held at Titanic Mardan Palace between February 21-23, with this year’s theme focusing on “Neuroinflammation.”
The summit extensively covered the causes of inflammation in the body, alongside neurological problems, and explored potential solutions in detail.

During the summit, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized in his presentation, “Personalized Treatment in Neuroinflammation,” that the priority should be health medicine rather than disease medicine.

Speaking at the well-attended event, Tarhan stated that leaving a patient untreated is also a form of harm and drew attention to the issue of health negligence.

Visit to Memorial Antalya Hospital
Following the summit, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan and Üsküdar University TRGENMER Director Dr. Cihan Taştan visited Memorial Antalya Hospital. During the visit, discussions were held on R&D and clinical collaboration with Memorial R&D and Clinical Research Group Director Dr. Güner Yaman and Memorial Antalya Hospital Hematologist Prof. Fatih Demirkan.
Dr. Taştan also delivered a presentation on the second day of the summit
On the second day of the summit, TRGENMER Director Dr. Cihan Taştan delivered a presentation titled “The Relationship Between Immunity and Neuroinflammation and What We Have Learned from Space.” His presentation attracted significant interest.
