The Perfusion Club, operating under the Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports (HCS) Department, organized an event titled “What Awaits You in Business Life?” As part of the event, Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceuticals Human and Culture Group President Deniz Daver met with students and shared his experiences regarding transitioning to professional life, career planning, and the challenges of business life. Daver emphasized that development is possible through challenges and that young people should be prepared for an intense work pace and economic conditions.

Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceuticals Human and Culture Group President Deniz Daver was the guest at the event held in the Ibn Sina Auditorium of Üsküdar University NP Health Campus.

Sahra Betül Alaca: “We are students preparing to work in critical environments"
The opening speech of the program was given by 1st year Perfusion Department student Sahra Betül Alaca. Alaca said; “Today, we are together to get to know the professional world awaiting us after graduation more closely and to start our career journey with more conscious steps. We are students preparing to undertake highly responsible tasks in the healthcare field, especially in critical environments such as operating rooms. In this process, we know that we will exist not only with technical knowledge but also with team communication, the ability to make correct decisions under stress, and the skill to adapt quickly to changing conditions.”

Deniz Daver: “Humans are beings that develop as they face challenges”
Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceuticals Human and Culture Group President Deniz Daver, in his presentation, gave advice to students about their transition to professional life and career planning. Daver, addressing critical points regarding personal development and facing challenges, said; “The only way to develop is to be challenged. That is, if you want to develop any skill, you must dare to be challenged. I've been in this business for 30 years, and I've never once seen a person just stand still like a potted plant and develop; there's no such thing. You have to push yourself uphill; you have to climb uphill. That's how humans develop; humans are beings that develop as they face challenges. Therefore, it's important to be willing to push yourself.”

“Be ready to get back on your feet when you fall”
Daver, speaking about the realities new graduates will face in their first years of business life and the challenges they must overcome, said; “You will work hard. Prepare yourself for hard work. A lot of tasks will be assigned to you; you will do a lot of grunt work, but all of these will develop you. They will develop you as you are challenged. It's beneficial to be prepared for hard work. You will encounter economic difficulties. New graduates in our country do not start jobs with very high salaries. Some start with the minimum wage, and some enter business life with slightly better wages than the minimum wage. Therefore, you might struggle a bit in the first years; you might have to continue receiving support from your family. It's good to be aware of that too. As the responsibility of the job grows, so does the salary in business life. There is a direct proportionality between salary and the stress encountered, the intensity of the work, and its difficulties. As one increases, so does the other. Be ready to get back on your feet when you fall.”

The program continued interactively with participants. Students directed their questions to Deniz Daver.
The event concluded with a group photo session.
