Üsküdar University held a strategic meeting with the Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) to prepare its students for the labor market and strengthen employment opportunities. This step, taken for the "My Future in Profession" program within the scope of İŞKUR's newly launched GÜÇ (Youth's Production Era) Project, opens the doors to a new era for Vocational School students and graduates.

The era of youth production begins

The "My Future in Profession" program, launched nationwide within the scope of the GÜÇ Project, aims to support the rapid and qualified participation of Vocational School students and graduates in the labor market in their respective fields of education. Within the program, İŞKUR consultants will conduct individual interviews with students; providing direct guidance on critical issues such as registration procedures, preparation for the labor market, and professional job search skills.

Critical visit: Bridge between education and employment

To evaluate the implementation processes of this visionary project, Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, Director of Üsküdar University Health Services Vocational School (SHMYO), and Remziye Çopur, Head of the Career Center Department, visited Serap Dilaver, İŞKUR Kadıköy Branch Manager, in her office.

"We are ready for all kinds of support for our students' future"

During the visit, SHMYO Director Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, who discussed the details of the project's university phase, emphasized that they would gladly take part in any work that adds value to the career journeys of associate degree students. Karasakal said, "Our biggest priority is for our students to combine their theoretical education with practical labor market skills. We will provide all kinds of institutional support for this process."
Asst. Prof. Karasakal also extended his thanks to İŞKUR Kadıköy Branch Manager Serap Dilaver and her team for their kind reception and collaborative approach.

Remziye Çopur, Head of the Career Center Department, drew attention to the importance of university-industry collaboration beginning before students graduate, stating that this program to be carried out with İŞKUR is a great opportunity for Üsküdar University students.
