A debate competition was organized among university students in cooperation with Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports Department and Suffa Foundation. Students, academics and business people from various universities participated in the competition, which was organized with the motto "When ideas collide, minds win". Social, cultural, and scientific issues were discussed in the debate.

The debate competition was held at Üsküdar University Çarşı Campus Emir Nebi Conference Hall.

Prof. Fehmi Ağca, Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports Department Deputy Director Sadık Paksoy, Biruni University faculty member Prof. Muzaffer Gülyurt, Suffa Foundation members, academicians and students participated in the debate competition held at Üsküdar University.

Prof. Muzaffer Gülyurt: "The sun of truth rises from the discussion of ideas"

The opening speeches of the competition were made by Biruni University faculty member Prof. Muzaffer Gülyurt. Prof. Gülyurt stated that "Today's topic is an issue that concerns young people in particular. It is told in our religion that 'The best of you is the one who is useful to people.' It is our duty to help even one person. As long as we are healthy, we need to continue these services. People can retire, but retiring from service, or from working, should continue until our last breath. From the discussion of ideas, the sun of truth rises. Debate topics have recently consisted of important issues that are relevant today. Our young people will be ahead of us so that we can complete our development as a nation and a country. While doing this, it must be in the form of national and spiritual development, not only with material improvements."

Topics such as artificial intelligence, technology and digitalization were discussed at the competition

After the opening speech, the quarter-final competitions were held. In the debate competition, university students defended different views on many issues.

There was a lot of interest in the debate competition, where topics such as artificial intelligence, technology and digitalization were discussed. After the introductions of the Gençlik Köprüsü ve Külliye (Youth Bridge and the Complex), the students competed for the semi-finals.

After the 3rd and final competition, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Suffa Foundation Mustafa Karaman made the closing speech.

In the competition, which was organized with the motto "When ideas collide, minds win", Koç University students came in 1st place as a result of the votes of the jury members. The awards were presented to the students by Biruni University faculty member Prof. Muzaffer Gülyurt.

Boğaziçi University students came in 2nd place in the debate competition. The awards were presented to the students by the Governor's Chief Inspector of Civil Affairs, Salih Işık.

The 3rd prize of the competition was won by Galatasaray University students. The awards were presented to the team by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Suffa Foundation.Mustafa Karaman.

The Youth Bridge team won the 4th prize. The award was presented to the team by Sadık Paksoy, Deputy Director of Üsküdar University Health, Culture and Sports Department.

Mustafa Karaman: "We see the contribution of different ideas"

The closing speech of the program was made by Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Suffa Foundation Mustafa Karaman. Karaman stated that "Dear young people, stay away from imitation. Reverence is separate, respect for knowledge is separate, the value given to the person is different, imitation is completely different. Imitation is opposition to Allah's will, nature, and the system in the universe that He created. God does not create anything the same, and He creates everything separately. To do the same thing and to imitate are the work of the impotent. Here, Allah has blessed us with some openings. To this day, there is a difference in the material and spiritual tendencies that Allah has meant in the world. It is also present in material technology. It also exists in spiritual systems. Today we are talking about topics such as artificial intelligence. Behind all this, there is the contribution and influence of different people's ideas. We see the contribution of their different ideas."
