"Hearing Screening for School-age Children" protocol signing ceremony was held in cooperation with Üsküdar University, Üsküdar District Governorship and District Health Directorate. With the protocol, early diagnosis, diagnosis and treatment of diseases are aimed by performing school-age hearing screenings. Drawing attention to the importance of preventive health, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan said that the main health service is not about the prevention of the disease, but about the protection of health.

Prof. Nevzat Tarhan: "The main health service is related to the protection of health"

Drawing attention to the importance of early diagnosis in the disease within the scope of the protocol signing ceremony, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan stated that "Our minister has a good determination about the treatment of a disease. They ask, ‘You are a minister now, and what do you prioritize?' And he said, 'I want health to be protected.' Physicians should also want this, physicians are focused on only one treatment, they only do it. The main health care is not about the prevention of disease, but about the protection of health. There are also 3 stages to this. The treatment service is referred to as the first protection. Secondly, we can say that the risk group is early diagnosis, which is very valuable. The third stage is the studies carried out to prevent recurrence after being sick. I have also included them in the books I have written."

Prof. Nazife Güngör: "It will lead to scientific and new developments for the future..."

Stating that the cooperation of the District Governorate and Üsküdar University is promising for the future, Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Nazife Güngör expressed that "Universities are important in terms of the knowledge produced here. In this way, we will also receive contributions from the society. In fact, it is important that it will lead to scientific and new developments for the future by transforming the data in the society into scientific projects. Your support is very important. Talking about the importance and necessity of the protocol, Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı said that Üsküdar University is an important institution for them. Yazıcı stated that "Üsküdar University is one of the important educational institutions of our district. It is also an important brand value of our district. As in the past, from time to time, we make cooperation protocols with Üsküdar University, including our district governorship and affiliated public institutions, especially our National Education organization and our Health Organization. We are here again today for a cooperation protocol in the field of health. There are many educational institutions in our district, and these educational institutions include students who are our future. I find this project very valuable and meaningful. We will see the benefits of early diagnosis and diagnosis together."

Asst. Prof. Didem Şahin Ceylan: "As the audiology department, we provide support in hearing screenings"

Stating that the support provided by Üsküdar University is more important since such a comprehensive study has not been carried out before, Head of the Department of Audiology of the Faculty of Health Sciences Asst. Prof. Didem Şahin Ceylan expressed that "As the Audiology department, we support our students in hearing screenings. We continued our support this year. This time, can we combine this support with a scientific protocol with Mr. Taşçı? We talked about it. Thankfully, he approached this issue very warmly because there is a problem in this regard. When we look at the literature, there is no large-scale evaluation of school-age hearing screenings."

Tarhan gave his book The Science of Happiness as a gift

After the protocol signing ceremony, Prof. Nevzat Tarhan hosted Üsküdar District Governor Adem Yazıcı and Üsküdar District Health Director Yusuf Taşçı in his office.

Tarhan signed and presented Yazıcı and Taşcı with the book 'The Science of Happiness' published by Üsküdar University Press, of which he is one of the authors.
