MISSION
The aim of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department's Master's Program (with thesis) is to train researchers who:
● Possess the theoretical and technological requirements, software, and hardware related to their field.
● Have gained the ability to follow developments in their field simultaneously with the rest of the world.
● Possess theoretical knowledge of various techniques for the development of information systems.
● Are equipped to evaluate and design information systems.
● Have the infrastructure and knowledge regarding robotics and autonomous systems.
● Have a strong command of object-oriented programming languages.
● Can develop smart systems.
● Are familiar with cloud computing systems and knowledgeable about optimization techniques.
● Have highly developed analytical and critical problem-solving skills.
● Are focused on application by internalizing the joy of learning.
The employment fields where Artificial Intelligence Engineering graduates work are quite broad. These include, in particular: the defense industry, healthcare institutions or organizations, state and private banks, various ministries and their affiliated units, the retail sector, the transportation sector, the aviation sector and its ground services, the maritime sector, oil and natural gas exploration and drilling operations, robotic smart resources in industry, examination systems with ionizing radiation, pipeline transportation and smart systems, and other transportation and logistics sectors. It also includes the entire education sector (primarily universities), press organizations, multimedia, computer games, and website development companies. In short, job opportunities are available in every field within both the public and private sectors, and the interest in and need for artificial intelligence engineering is increasing rapidly. With our country's development, government policies, and the great success in our defense industry, the demand for trained personnel in this field is extremely high, and it is believed that this significant gap will be bridged to some extent through this program.
VISION
Today, in a world experiencing the age of technology and informatics, where digitalization made its importance deeply felt during the pandemic, there is a massive need for Artificial Intelligence Engineers with a Master's degree. The vision of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Program is fundamentally to provide the necessary knowledge to individuals who will conduct technological research, to train qualified field personnel both in our country and abroad, for the needs of Information Technologies Industry, to meet the need for academic staff, and to contribute to the training of master artificial intelligence engineers who can pioneer future studies.
For this purpose, a comprehensive and wide-ranging curriculum has been established in the master's program. By taking the mandatory courses required to learn the fundamentals and selecting elective
courses suitable for their specific area of interest, students can thoroughly acquire both foundational knowledge and specialized expertise in their desired field.
