MISSION
The aim of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Program with Thesis is to educate researchers who:
- Possess the theoretical and technological requirements of the field as well as software and hardware knowledge,
- Have gained the ability to follow developments in their field simultaneously with the world,
- Have theoretical knowledge of various techniques for developing information systems,
- Can evaluate and design information systems,
- Have the necessary background and knowledge in robotics and autonomous systems,
- Are proficient in object-oriented programming languages,
- Can develop intelligent systems,
- Are familiar with cloud computing systems and knowledgeable about optimization techniques,
- Have highly developed analytical thinking and critical problem-solving skills,
- Have internalized the desire to learn and work in an application-oriented manner.
These are the researchers the program aims to educate.
The fields of employment for Artificial Intelligence Engineering graduates are quite broad. These fields include, in particular, the defense industry, health institutions and organizations, public and private banks, various ministries and their affiliated units, the retail sector, the transportation sector, the aviation sector and ground services, the maritime sector, oil and natural gas exploration and drilling activities, robotic intelligent systems used in industry, inspection systems involving ionizing radiation, pipeline transportation and intelligent systems, and other transportation and logistics sectors. In addition, the entire education sector, especially universities, as well as media organizations, multimedia, computer game and website development companies are also considered within this scope. In short, there are job opportunities in almost every area of the public and private sectors, and the interest in and need for artificial intelligence engineering are increasing rapidly. In line with our country's development, state policies and the great achievements in the defense industry, the demand for a trained workforce in this field is extremely high. It is believed that this program will also make a significant contribution to meeting this important need.
VISION
In today's world, which is living in the age of technology and information, there is a great need for Artificial Intelligence Engineers with master's level education, owing to digitalization, whose importance became even more evident especially during the pandemic. The vision of the Artificial Intelligence Engineering Master's Program is to provide individuals who will conduct technological research with the necessary knowledge, to educate the qualified human resources needed by the information technology sector both in our country and internationally, to contribute to meeting the need for academic staff, and to educate expert artificial intelligence engineers who can lead future studies.
In line with this aim, a comprehensive and broad curriculum has been created for the master's program. While taking the compulsory courses necessary to learn the fundamental concepts of the field, students choose elective courses suited to the areas of specialization they are interested in, thereby gaining the opportunity to acquire both fundamental knowledge and in-depth expertise in a specific field.
