The Clinical Supervision Laboratory at our university is a comprehensive unit that offers in-depth training and development opportunities to psychology students and professionals. This laboratory provides the opportunity to observe, practice and supervise psychotherapy processes in real time. These opportunities for clinical practice are especially critical for students in master's and doctoral programs.
The mirrored rooms in our laboratory provide an ideal environment for students to receive real-time feedback during therapeutic interviews. Observing the relationship with the client in the best possible way contributes to the development of clinical skills. Furthermore, the interview rooms simulate real-life therapy settings, giving students the opportunity to practice.
Throughtesting applications and filing systems, students gain experience in how to administer psychological assessments and analyze the results. Our lab also has a system that allows students to video record the counseling process and examine the sessions in detail. These video recordings are an important feedback tool for both students and supervisors.
