As Üsküdar University Biotechnology Research and Application Center (BİYOTEKMER), we continue to conduct important scientific research and projects in the field of health sciences and biotechnology. Our center develops national and international collaborations in the field of biotechnology and genetics and produces research that aims to contribute to society and science.
The main purpose of BİYOTEKMER is to conduct biotechnology-based scientific research in the field of health, to produce projects and to support ongoing projects. It also aims to inform and raise awareness of healthcare professionals and all relevant segments of the society on biotechnology by organizing training courses, conferences, workshops, seminars and certificate programs as well as scientific studies in cooperation with national and international organizations. In addition, it is aimed to research and produce methods and materials that can be used in the diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of various diseases, to test their clinical use and to carry out practical application training studies.
BİYOTEKMER also aims to develop support projects and collaborate with relevant organizations to create relevant legislation, ethics and implementation guidelines for new applications (such as gene therapies, biological therapies, smart drugs) that are likely to be introduced into health practice.
Areas of Activity:
- To conduct research in the field of biotechnology at our university and to train faculty and students in this field.
- To develop national and international multi-center scientific research projects in the field of biotechnology.
- To develop practical and theoretical workshops, certificates and in-professional continuing education programs on biotechnology for physicians and health personnel.
- To carry out projects and prepare new scientific projects in cooperation with other research centers and laboratories.
- To organize seminars, conferences and courses in order to promote research in the field of biotechnology and to publicize the work done.
