Dear Scientists;

Today, the breakthroughs made in the scientific field and the technological possibilities that change and develop in parallel with these breakthroughs are increasing rapidly. As one of the products of the rapid development of technology, radiation has started to be used in many different fields and the studies on radiation have become a necessity. Radiation, which is used in many fields from medical field to basic sciences, from material field to environmental studies, has created many advanced research areas. Advanced research today can be evaluated in a wide range of areas such as simulation techniques, detection processes, new software and new programming.

I hope that the Medical Radiation Research and Application Centre (ÜSMERA), which we have established within Üsküdar University, which is Turkey's only thematic university in the field of Behavioural Sciences and Health, will be the pioneer of many new scientific studies for our country in this field, will be a centre that will provide opportunities for scientific activities of undergraduate and graduate students active in related fields, and will be a centre where valuable academicians from the field will come together and sign valuable studies.

We want to make radical breakthroughs in the scientific field by carrying out innovative and R&D based studies in experimental and theoretical studies that we will carry out under ÜSMERA. We hope that the studies we have planned in many areas from educational activities to project-oriented studies, from sectoral collaborations to the establishment of joint working groups, will contribute to the scientific journey of mankind that has been going on for millennia.

Best regards,
