YÖK Atlas Score Calculation

The answers given to the tests by candidates applying to bachelor's and associate degree programs admitting students through Central Placement in the YKS will be evaluated separately for each test. A standard score will be calculated for each test for every candidate. The following method will be used to calculate the standard scores of the tests:
The correct and incorrect answers given by candidates to the tests in the exams will be determined. The candidate's raw score on the relevant test will be found by subtracting one quarter of the number of incorrect answers from the number of correct answers.
Using the raw scores of all candidates in their final year of high school on the test being scored, the mean and standard deviation of that test will be found. Using this mean and standard deviation, standard scores with a mean of 50 and a standard deviation of 10 will be calculated for all candidates.
Candidates' weighted scores (A-TYT) will be calculated using the standard scores calculated in the TYT and the coefficients announced by ÖSYM. In order for the A-TYT score to be calculated, candidates must obtain a raw score of at least 0.5 in the Basic Mathematics Test or the Turkish Test. The A-TYT score will be calculated only for candidates who meet these conditions.
