Program Educational Objectives
1. The primary objective of the Child Protection and Care Services Program is to educate professionals who support the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children aged 0–18, including typically developing children, children with special needs, children with acute or chronic illnesses, children in need of protection, and children at risk.
2. To educate graduates who develop projects for children, families, educators, and society by employing contemporary approaches, and who implement and disseminate these projects to promote the well-being of children and families across all segments of society.
3. To prepare qualified professionals capable of planning, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating services provided in Child Houses, Child Houses Sites, and Child Support Centers, thereby contributing effectively to child protection and care services.
Program Goals
To educate professionals who possess sufficient foundational knowledge and competencies in education and care services for disadvantaged children; who can interpret and evaluate data, identify problems, and develop appropriate solutions by applying fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired in the field. To develop graduates who are able to identify and effectively utilize the methods, techniques, services, and technologies required for professional practice; generate solutions to unforeseen problems encountered in practice; work effectively both independently and as members of multidisciplinary teams; communicate effectively; demonstrate patience, empathy, and tolerance; and possess sufficient foreign language proficiency to follow developments and innovations in their field. Furthermore, the program aims to educate individuals who uphold universal and cultural values, adhere to professional ethics, embrace lifelong learning in both personal and professional development, continuously monitor scientific, technological, and sectoral advancements, engage in continuous self-improvement, and demonstrate knowledge, skills, competence, and awareness regarding occupational safety, health, and environmental protection.
