The aim of our laboratory is to contribute to the prevention and treatment of drug abuse by performing all diagnosis, determination and analysis of toxic and addictive substances, to integrate into EU rules, to develop collaborations, to ensure institutional development, to improve physical and technical infrastructure.
In our laboratory, toxic and addictive substances (opiates, amphetamine group, cannabis, synthetic cannabinoids, alcohol, cocaine) are quantitatively analyzed in urine with Waters XEVO TQD Ultra-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) device. Tests are performed in blood, urine and hair strands in addiction patients and risk groups. In addition to the basic biochemical services of "Drug Screening" in our hospital, this service is provided by biochemistry technical staff specialized in toxicology studies.
Our laboratory has TS/EN ISO17025 Accreditation and CAP External quality control certificate. In this context, every test performed in our laboratory is performed in accordance with TS/EN ISO17025 rules. In addition, test studies are performed on external quality control urines sent by CAP (The Collage of American Pathologists) every 3 months.
Our laboratory is responsible for avoiding systematic analytical errors and keeping possible random errors within acceptable limits.
Samples that have completed the waiting period are delivered to medical waste with a report to be disposed of in accordance with legal regulations.
NPGRUP Laboratories Quality Control Program:
Our hospital, which knows no boundaries in service in order to raise the mental health level of the society and to produce effective solutions to their problems in this sense, is also very meticulous about the laboratories within its body.
Laboratories are routinely audited bidirectionally through internal and external quality control* studies in order to provide clients with new treatment methods in psychiatry in a quality and safe manner in line with the latest developments in the medical world. The bi-directional quality control studies provide the opportunity for self-evaluation in laboratory services, as well as international benchmarking and continuous evaluation within the framework of external quality control studies. In this way, both quality control studies can provide an opportunity for improvement in the event of inappropriate results.
* NPGRUP Laboratories is a member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) external quality control program
As in all its processes, NPGRUP acts with the principle of "we cannot improve what we cannot measure" in laboratory services.
