Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of psychotherapy that is recommended as a first-line treatment for many psychiatric disorders and psychological problems all over the world and has the most scientific evidence on its effectiveness. It is also frequently preferred by patients and clients due to its shorter duration compared to other types of therapy, its high effectiveness and the fact that it trains the individual to become "his/her own therapist". Professionals working in the field of mental health also prefer to apply CBT to their patients or clients because of these features. For this reason, the demand for CBT training has been increasing rapidly in our country in recent years.
As with all types of psychotherapy, CBT is not a type of therapy that can be applied with some "innate" therapy skills. It should be applied by mental health professionals who have completed well-structured training programs in this field, which include theoretical and practical training in accordance with international quality standards in terms of duration and content. Üsküdar University Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Training, Application and Research Center (ÜSBDT) was established to support a more widespread and competent application of CBT in our country. For this purpose, the main objectives of our center are to provide theoretical and practical trainings on CBT and to conduct scientific research on CBT.
We invite all psychotherapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychological counselors, other mental health professionals and physicians in other related disciplines to meet at our training.
With our love and respect.
