Prof. Dr. Cemil Topuzlu

She was a military surgeon and court physician. She founded the Haydarpaşa Faculty of Medicine, as well as schools of dentistry, pharmacy, and nursing. She also founded the first licensed private hospital. Zeynep Kamil played a role in the establishment and development of the Haydarpaşa and Şişli Etfal Hospitals. He was awarded the Encrusted Ottoman Order, the 3rd-class Ottoman Order, the Encrusted Civil Order, and the Field Marshal’s Order, and served two terms as mayor of Istanbul. She served as Minister of Public Works (Ministry of Public Works). She was a pioneer in the establishment of Turkish medical, dental, pharmacy, and midwifery schools, as well as in hospital management and public health.
