NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital and Üsküdar University in collaboration, the Z+ Generation at University Project meeting was held.

The focus group meeting for the “Z+ Generation at University Project,” led by Üsküdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, was attended by project coordinator Dr. Lecturer Aylin Tutgun Ünal, Project Consultant Dr. Lecturer Nebiye Yaşar, education modules supervisors Specialist Clinical Psychologist Çiğdem Demirsoy, Psychiatry Specialist Dr. Lecturer Semra Baripoğlu, Inter-institutional Collaboration Director Fırat Tarhan, and Inter-institutional Collaboration Assistant Director Specialist Psychologist Özgenur Taşkın.

“Focus group study was conducted”
A focus group study with 30 participants was conducted during the meeting for the Z+ Generation at University project's education modules, with the participation of NPİSTANBUL Brain Hospital psychologists and psychiatrists.
The target audience of the project, consisting of Generation Z youth, their families, educators, and employers, was exemplified with models from nature within the framework of biomimetic science.
The training sessions to be provided to the target audience will be implemented based on positive psychotherapy principles as part of psychosocial support.

“Wisdom Education Should Be Provided to Generation Z”
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan emphasized the importance of wisdom training to be provided to the target audience, stating: “If we do not teach wisdom as an education to Generation Z, we will not be able to compete with technology.”
“Social Innovation Project for Generation Z”
In the Z+ Generation at University Project, a social innovation project for Generation Z, the “Z+ Generation Values Scale” and the “XYZ Generation Differences Scale” will be developed. One of the important activities for the project’s sustainability is the “Generation Z Application and Research Center (ZEMER),” where scale development studies will be carried out with doctoral students.
