Z Plan Project Works Continue Rapidly

Üsküdar Üniversitesi and the Bursa Organized Industrial Zone Industrialists and Business People Association's (BOSİAD) Z Plan Project works continue. The results of the BOSİAD Z Plan, initiated under the academic consultancy of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan to produce correct policies, understand the generation gap, develop mutual understanding, and prepare for the future together with a common roadmap, are planned to be announced to the public in two stages.  

Z Plan project executives met once again

BOSİAD Board Chairman Rasim Çağan, BOSİAD Board member Özgür Şahin, BOSİAD Board Assistant Güzin Özdemir, BOSİAD Press Consultant Elif Sezgin, Dr. Lecturer Aylin Tutgun Ünal from the New Media and Journalism Department, and R&D and Innovation Policies Director Halime Usta Yoğun attended the meeting led by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan. The meeting took place in the Üsküdar Üniversitesi Senate Hall. 

A roadmap for the research has been determined!

The pilot implementation of the planned field research took place to determine the current situation in the project, which aims for blue-collar and white-collar Generation Z employees and company executives working in the Bursa organized industrial zone to meet on common values in their work life communications and understand each other. During the meeting where preliminary results were evaluated, a roadmap for the sustainability of the research was also determined.

Tarhan: “The importance of flexible thinking skills has emerged”

Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan stated, “According to the preliminary results of the research, the importance of acquiring ‘Flexible Thinking Skills’ has once again emerged. The pilot research, which provides preliminary information about the entire study, will provide important data for future work. In the 21st Century, flexible thinking skills training can be provided to employers to survive and adapt. It is also very important to teach these skills to Generation Z.” Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan also added, “Families need to provide Generation Z with experiences of taking responsibility.”

Many scales are used for research in the Z Plan Project…

In the research conducted within the scope of the Z Plan; 'Work Life Scale', 'Acceptance of Differences Scale', and 'Social Media Usage Scale' developed by Dr. Lecturer Aylin Tutgun Ünal are being applied to blue-collar and white-collar Generation Z employees and Generation Z managers working in the Bursa organized industrial zone. The results of the scales are planned to be announced in April. In the second stage, the scales will be applied to high school seniors and university seniors, and the perspectives of Generation Z, who will start working life, on business life and differences are planned to be announced at the end of the year.

Applications will be made to national and international programs for the study to be included in the literature!

Halime Usta Yoğun, Director of R&D and Innovation Policies, emphasizing the importance of academic studies within the scope of this cooperation project aimed at Generation Z; noted that the project will trigger innovative research projects in this field and will be advanced by applying to national and international programs for the inclusion of the conducted studies in scientific research literature.

At the end of the meeting, BOSİAD Board Chairman Rasim Çağan presented a plaque of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Dr. Lecturer Aylin Tutgun Ünal for their contributions and support.
