Young people experienced microscope in a laboratory environment

Within the framework of the “Education Cooperation Protocol” signed between Üsküdar University, Ümraniye District Governorship, and Ümraniye District Directorate of National Education, students from Atakent Şehit Selçuk Paker Anatolian High School visited Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) Medical Laboratory Techniques Program. In the Introduction to Microscopy Workshop held within the scope of the program, students had the opportunity to gain practical experience in a laboratory setting while learning the operating principles of the microscope.

The workshop, held at Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (VSHS) General Analysis Laboratory, was organized under the guidance of Instructor Tuğçe Soylamış, Asst. Prof. Ömer Faruk Karasakal, and Instructor Osman Özşahin. During the event, students were informed about the basic operating principles of the microscope and advanced usage techniques.

In the practical section of the workshop, students personally used microscopes and closely observed medical laboratory work. Participants, reinforcing theoretical knowledge with practice, gained the opportunity to experience the laboratory environment and examine scientific work processes firsthand.

Their scientific curiosity was supported

The event, followed with great interest by the participating students, contributed to increasing their scientific curiosity and familiarizing them with the field of Medical Laboratory Techniques. 

Thanks to practical training, students both experienced the university atmosphere and gained information about professions in the healthcare field.
