Young Leader from Üsküdar University to the Global Climate Stage

Emirhan Belli, a student of the Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Program at Üsküdar University's Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO), achieved a significant international success. Belli was selected as a 'ClimateX Youth Pioneer' within the 'Climate X Leadership Training Program' conducted by the Global Alliance of Universities on Climate (GAUC), a global alliance formed by leading universities worldwide.

Üsküdar University continues to support its students in actively participating in global academic and social responsibility projects and to raise young leaders for a sustainable future.

Selected as “ClimateX Youth Pioneer”

Within the scope of the internationally conducted training program, Emirhan Belli was selected as a “ClimateX Youth Pioneer.”

Belli, utilizing the knowledge and experience gained to increase climate awareness and produce sustainable solutions, successfully represented Üsküdar University on an international platform through his work during this process.

Comprehensive Training Provided in the 12-Week Program

In the 12-week program, which included the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and UNESCO among its project stakeholders, comprehensive training was provided on topics such as climate change, sustainability, global climate governance, and youth leadership. 

They Found Opportunities to Transform Knowledge into Actionable Climate Actions

During the program, participants had the opportunity to strengthen their climate action development skills through practical work in addition to theoretical knowledge.
