The academy, one of Turkey’s most innovative youth platforms, is not only an education center but also a project academy that touches the dreams of young people and prepares them for the future.
“Youth Developing with Science, Rising with Morals”
Established in 2014 with the approval of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and shaped in line with the principle of “Youth Developing with Science, Rising with Morals” by Üsküdar University Founding Rector, Psychiatrist Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, the academy aims to equip young people not only with knowledge but also with values. In this journey, the academy leads young people to discover their individual potentials, offering them the opportunity to take active roles in both national and international projects.
Pioneer of science and social innovation
With social responsibility projects, workshops, and entrepreneurship programs, the Young Brains Academy enables its students to acquire critical thinking skills. To date, hundreds of students have had the opportunity to write scientific articles, participate in international conferences, and undertake projects that impact society under this roof.

Lecturer Dr. Nebiye Yaşar: “The solid steps we took in the past are a torch we carry to the future”
Üsküdar University Young Brains Academy Director, Lecturer Dr. Nebiye Yaşar, spoke at the celebration program. Yaşar said; “The Young Brains Academy is the guarantee of a generation rising on the axis of science and values. Our young people, who have adopted Üsküdar Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan’s question ‘What did you do for the project today?’ not just as a motto but as a way of life, have become one of our country’s strongest scientific and social resources. The solid steps we took in the past are a torch we carry to the future.”

While honoring past achievements, the Young Brains Academy’s 11th-year event also underlines future goals.
