The Wikimedia Foundation gathered for the board of trustees elections to be held in 2024. At the meeting held in Paris, Hakan Özdemir, Head of the Digital Technologies and Software Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, took part as a member of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees Election Committee. Election conditions and decisions were discussed at the meeting.

Hakan Özdemir, Head of the Digital Technologies and Software Department at Üsküdar Üniversitesi, participated in the meeting as a member of the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees Election Committee.
At the meeting held in Paris on November 17-18, the election conditions to be applied for the board of trustees elections in 2024 were discussed, and a series of decisions were made.
Hakan Özdemir: “Being a part of this structure is a source of pride for our country”
Özdemir, stating that being a part of the Wikimedia structure from Turkey as an election committee member is a source of pride for himself and his country, expressed that the work excites him greatly. Özdemir noted that as the Wiki family, they attach importance to the work in Turkey, and also mentioned that they successfully held the Wikidata Istanbul 2022 Wiki Data Conference between October 21-23, bringing together Turkish-speaking volunteers from 10 countries and autonomous regions worldwide in Istanbul, hosted by Üsküdar Üniversitesi.
