Emphasizing that engineering education is one of the lifelines of a country's development, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci points out that engineers play the most important role in strengthening a country's development and technological infrastructure. Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci stated, "Strong technology policies of countries, and their evaluation of engineering and technology education as important as other development areas, lead to significant gains for the development of those countries."

Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci made evaluations regarding engineering education and its importance.
Stating that engineering education is the source that provides the human resources forming the cornerstones of technology in a country, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci said, "Engineering can be defined as making designs for needs by observing physical phenomena and using mathematical calculations. Similarly, it can be expressed as modeling natural phenomena using basic sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology, and designing new, simple or complex products for humanity's needs. In general terms, it can be expressed as making measurable designs with mathematical calculations, modeling or developing certain phenomena and materials. The most important difference distinguishing engineering from other branches of science is reaching a result based on objective calculations, measurement, and mathematics, far from being subjective."
Engineering education is one of the sources of development

Taiwan is an important example
Explaining the importance of engineering education with the example of Taiwan, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci said, "As a notable example, Taiwan has prioritized the development of the electronics industry as a national policy. Thanks to this, it has ranked among the top in the world's electronics industry, including chip design in the electronic manufacturing industry. Engineering education is important in developing analytical thinking skills, which we call reasoning and understanding physical phenomena, because it provides advanced education in mathematics, physics, and numerical sciences. This is also an important building block for a thinking, evaluating society."
Engineering education is provided in information and health sciences
Noting that Üsküdar Üniversitesi provides engineering education under the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci said, "Our faculty includes fields serving the IT industry such as Software, Computer, and Electrical-Electronics Engineering, along with Chemical Engineering and Bioengineering. Additionally, our Molecular Biology and Genetics department supports Bioengineering studies. Thus, our university addresses an important need in our country in both information and health sciences."
Employment opportunities in many fields
Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci stated that engineers serve in relevant science and technology fields, and also develop themselves in management sciences and economics with their logical decision-making abilities. Prof. Dr. Osman Çerezci said, "While some graduates develop their management skills through experience, they easily enrich their careers with academic studies in fields such as business management and economics. Their mathematical and analytical thinking abilities enable engineering graduates to excel in these areas as well."
