Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Ziver Ergün Yücel, explaining the quality of education, technological infrastructure, and opportunities provided to students by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Dentistry, stated, “We invite our candidates to experience the warm environment and opportunities offered by our faculty, whose main goal is to educate dentists who contribute to the future in the name of human values, happiness, and science.”

Dean of Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Ziver Ergün Yücel, offered advice to students wishing to choose the dentistry profession.
Dentists with necessary knowledge and skills are being trained
Prof. Dr. Yücel, explaining the quality of education, technological infrastructure, and opportunities provided by Üsküdar Üniversitesi Faculty of Dentistry, stated that the faculty trains dentists who possess the necessary knowledge and skills in oral and dental health protection, disease diagnosis and treatment, adhere to ethical rules, fulfill their professional responsibilities, and understand the importance of continuous professional education.
All current technology products are used in education
“We recommend students choose our faculty because it provides an educational environment with contemporary standards and opportunities,” said Prof. Dr. Yücel, adding, “In dentistry today, all current technology products (models, virtual reality equipment, intraoral cameras and associated technological systems like CAD-CAM, very rich library content) that are available and used for both patient services and preclinical basic education are utilized in our faculty for education and patient services.”
Prof. Dr. Yücel: “They perform their clinical practices in our hospital clinics”
Highlighting the importance of practical education and clinical experience in dentistry, Prof. Dr. Yücel stated, “Our students, benefiting from the advantage of the student-to-instructor ratio, perform their clinical practices in the clinics of our oral and dental health practice hospital (Üsküdar Üniversitesi Dental Hospital), which is equipped with new technologies, after receiving their training in phantom and preclinical laboratories. Additionally, they can benefit from exchange programs such as Erasmus.”
Students actively participate in project teams in scientific studies
Addressing the participation of students in research projects, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Dr. Ziver Ergün Yücel, said, “This issue is one of the most important matters for our university. As the Faculty of Dentistry, we initiate and actively conduct various projects and R&D studies, and we ensure our students actively participate in project teams in other scientific studies.”
Graduates can specialize in all branches of dentistry
Prof. Dr. Yücel explained that the faculty has not yet given graduates, but upon graduation, they will be able to work in dental clinics of state hospitals, Oral and Dental Health Centers, and private hospitals and clinics. He also added that graduates can start an academic life and pursue a doctorate, and open their own practices immediately after graduation.
Prof. Dr. Yücel also noted that if graduates wish, they can specialize in all branches of dentistry through the Dentistry Specialization Exam (DUS).
