Opr. Dr. Uçar Çallı: “It is easier to communicate with people from the field”
Opr. Dr. Uçar Çallı, Founder of Scenario-Based OHS Training, talking about his experiences in the field, said; “Since I come from the field, it is necessary to combine the events in the field with knowledge. I am very grateful to Rüştü Hoca and his team for this. They are academics, but all of them have come from the field. It is easier to communicate with people who come from the field. If these people are academics, they will also help academically. That's why I am incredibly proud to work with Üsküdar University.”
One of the Greatest Acts of Worship is Saving a Life with Knowledge…
Opr. Dr. Uçar Çallı, who brought the scenario-based training he received in Dubai to Turkey, said; “First, I explained to Rüştü Hoca that there was such a project. So far, we have nearly three thousand scenarios in OHS research. What do these scenarios teach us? They give us knowledge, they teach us experience. We make broadcasts every day via the WhatsApp application. OHS Haber collects the data from these broadcasts. I also turn work accidents into scenarios with scientific data every day and publish them. Many books are written about occupational health in OHS, but no one reads them. No one reads the publications made by academics either. I need to do something that presents this as a story, like a scenario. We need to incorporate international knowledge. We are doing that right now. I thought about how I could present these methods, these scenarios, to this country, how I could be beneficial. For me, saving a life with knowledge is one of the greatest acts of worship. In four years, we have reached this point in terms of volume. As long as we cannot publish and share them, it seems they will go with me. This is the last thing we want.”
The event concluded after participants' questions were answered.
