Newly appointed Üsküdar District National Education Director Semih Durmuş visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör in their offices. During the courtesy visit, where the professional delivery of Values Education within the scope of the Science of Happiness was also discussed, Durmuş stated that they closely follow the work of Üsküdar Üniversitesi.
Semih Durmuş was appointed to the vacant position of Üsküdar District National Education Director after District National Education Director Sinan Aydın was appointed as Eskişehir Provincial National Education Director.
Durmuş visited Üsküdar Üniversitesi Founding Rector and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Üsküdar Üniversitesi Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör.
The visit, held in the Senate Meeting Hall, was also attended by Secretary General Selçuk Uysaler, Deputy Secretary General Ayşe Öztürk, and Head of Corporate Communications Tahsin Aksu.
During the courtesy visit, where the professional delivery of Values Education within the scope of the Science of Happiness was also discussed, ideas were exchanged on developing and continuing cooperation in education in the new period.
Who is Semih Durmuş?
He was born in 1972 in Şalpazarı district of Trabzon. After completing his primary and secondary education in Trabzon and higher education at Malatya İnönü University (1994), he completed his master's degree in Educational Management at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (2019).
He started his teaching career in Ordu-Kabataş in 1994. After being appointed as a teacher in Beykoz district of Istanbul in 2001, he successively served as a teacher and administrator in the Üsküdar and Ümraniye districts. After serving a short period as a branch manager at the Üsküdar District National Education Directorate, he was appointed as Üsküdar District National Education Director on 13/07/2023 while he was the principal of Üsküdar Hafize Özal Secondary School.
He served in many non-governmental organizations.
He is married and has 3 daughters.
