Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program students visited the OTTO BOCK company. During the visit, students toured the workshops and learned about the use of devices and materials.

As part of the organized visit, students had the chance to see the OTTO BOCK company, known for operating in the field of orthopedic technology as a world market leader in prosthetics and one of the leading suppliers in orthotics, wheelchairs, and exoskeletons.

They Had the Opportunity to See the Devices Up Close
During the visit, Prosthetics Orthotics Technician Merve Şenoğlu guided students through the workshops at OTTO BOCK and informed them about the use of devices and materials. She also informed students about how to perform static adjustments for lower extremity prostheses with the PROS.A. Assembly device, and students had the opportunity to see and recognize the devices up close.

Prosthetic Hand Application Demonstrated
Continuing the visit, Prosthetics Orthotics Technician Lokman Sağlık gave a presentation to Üsküdar University Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Program students about upper extremity prosthetic applications. Lokman Sağlık, mentioning myoelectric and bionic applications, explained how to correctly place electrodes and how to rehabilitate the muscles of upper extremity patients. Prosthetic hand use was demonstrated on students through example applications.
