Visit from Kazakh National Art Academy to Üsküdar University…

The meeting, held in the Üsküdar University senate hall, took place with the participation of Kazakh National Art Academy Rector Sharipbek Amirbekov, President of the Public Foundation of Journalists Speaking Turkic Languages Naziya Zhoyamergen, and UIDB Officials. During the meeting, the development of relations with universities in Kazakhstan, which is among the target countries within the scope of TQ, was discussed. It was stated that cooperation with universities could be established to strengthen Turkic unity in the international arena. 

The meeting was attended by Üsküdar University Rector Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan. 

Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör: “It is important for us to achieve scientific unity and scientific sharing”

Speaking about the development of relations with Kazakhstan universities, Prof. Dr. Nazife Güngör said; “We want to strengthen our relations with Kazakhstan universities even further. It is one of our target countries within the scope of Turquality. We want to be closer to Turkic states. There is a very close linguistic unity, linguistic similarity, and cultural unity, so why shouldn't there be scientific unity here? It is important for us to achieve scientific unity and scientific sharing.” 

Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk: “We would like to establish collaborations not only in communication but also in other fields”

Prof. Dr. Muhsin Konuk, who spoke about the possibility of strengthening Turkic unity in the international arena through cooperation with universities, said; “Being together as one nation but two states makes us very happy. The most fundamental data for the establishment of a Turkic unity organization in the international arena and for this organization to be further advanced will emerge from the cooperation between universities. Hopefully, we will prepare this ground and integrate. I strongly desire this cooperation to be carried out and implemented not only in the field of communication but also especially in the fields of science, engineering, and natural sciences.” 

Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Süleyman İrvan, who attended the meeting, mentioned that education is provided across a very wide spectrum.  

Increasing relations with Turkey will benefit the preservation of the Kazakh essence

During the meeting, it was stated that if cooperation is achieved, Turkish could be used as a foreign language instead of English. It was mentioned that symposiums could be organized with joint departments and faculties. It was discussed that the departments of the Faculty of Communication and the faculties of the Art Academy could carry out joint work. In addition, institutions writing articles for each other's academic publications was also one of the topics of the meeting. Joint projects and preparations for Erasmus were discussed. The Kazakh National Art Academy stated that they want to strengthen their relations with Turkey, emphasizing that increasing relations with Turkey will benefit the preservation of the Kazakh essence.

The Kazakh Delegation visited Üsküdar University's laboratories and received information from officials, and also visited the Faculty of Communication and the studios where communication students practice.
