
Üsküdar University Department of Sociology and Maltepe Girls Anatolian Imam Hatip High School worked in cooperation on the refugee adaptation process to contribute to the work of the project named “Vineyard”. The project, which was designed as a “school-based social cohesion model” and it aimed at adapting children refugees to society without breaking their own culture. At the end the results were positive. There was progress in children's language development and their grades increased. Students who study together with refugee children have developed empathic thinking skills.
