Üsküdar Üniversitesi continues its achievements in sports parallel to its scientific successes. Alexia Carutasu, a 1st-year student of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, earned the right to play for the Turkish national team as of January 2024.

Üsküdar's Alexia Carutasu to Play for Turkish National Team
Originally from Romania, 20-year-old Alexia Carutasu, who is 1.88 meters tall, became a Turkish citizen on March 31, 2022, while playing for the Üsküdar Üniversitesi volleyball team.
The successful athlete earned the right to be selected for the national team with her performance in the university team.
Additionally, Alexia Carutasu was selected as the best opposite hitter at the U17 Balkan Championship.
