Üsküdar University's research, project, and educational activities, carried out under the 'Gender Equality' label, have been registered and listed by the international ranking organization Times Higher Education (THE). While the proportion of female researchers working at Üsküdar University has doubled in the last two years, the success of female researchers in research and project activities stands out with a remarkable 80.7%. Furthermore, 70% of the students who enrolled in the university in 2022 are female students.

Through systematic efforts coordinated with the Üsküdar University Gender Equality Action Plan 2022-2026, Üsküdar University has earned the right to be listed 29th among Turkish universities in the "Overall Ranking" category under the "Gender Equality" label.
"Gender Equality Efforts at the University are Monitored"
Under the leadership of Assoc. Dr. Aylin Tutugun Ünal, ÜSÇÖZÜM Director and Scale Development Coordinator at Üsküdar University, gender equality studies conducted at the university are systematically monitored through the 'Gender Equality Action Plan'. With the ÜÜGEAP (Uskudar University Gender Equality Action Plan), adopted and enacted by the Üsküdar University Gender Equality Commission and University Senate in 2022, gender equality efforts for the years 2022-2026 are being carried out under 6 objectives. Activities carried out in line with these objectives aim to strengthen the participation of researchers and students in gender equality initiatives.

The success of female researchers at Üsküdar University in research and project activities is noteworthy, ranking in the 80.7% bracket. Furthermore, regularly prepared tracking charts and annual reports concerning the employment of female staff, their success in research and projects, the annual monitoring of female students' employment at our university, and numerous opportunities provided to students (participation in research and projects, awards) are published online in an accessible and transparent manner.

According to the tracking chart prepared by the Üsküdar University Solution-Oriented Women's Issues Application and Research Center (ÜSÇÖZÜM) in collaboration with administrative units, focusing on women's access to educational opportunities, female students enrolling at Üsküdar University in 2022 stand out with a 70% rate. The proportion of female graduates, at 73%, also constitutes the majority compared to male graduates

According to the 2021-2022 monitoring report, the R&D activities of female researchers working at Üsküdar University have increased year by year, doubling in the last two years. The proportion of female researchers employed as executives, researchers, and consultants in social responsibility projects stands at 71.4%. Additionally, female researchers making patent applications are notable with an 84.2% rate.
