Students of Üsküdar University Vocational School of Health Services (SHMYO) Anesthesia Program, along with Lecturer Abdurrahman Şengül, attended the “19th Education Symposium” organized by the Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association (ATTD). Students, who also had the opportunity to attend the “IV. Difficult Airway Management Course” held within the scope of the symposium, gained insights into the latest technological advancements and techniques in anesthesia in the medical world.  Yeter Aydemir, a second-year student of Üsküdar University Anesthesia Program, won first prize in the competition held during the simulation session.

The symposium was held at Kocaeli University Faculty of Medicine.

Under the leadership of Lecturer Abdurrahman Şengül, students of Üsküdar University SHMYO Anesthesia program actively participated in the symposium.

Association members, academicians, and students also attended the symposium.

4 different sessions were held

The opening speech of the 19th Education Symposium, attended by approximately 250 people, was delivered by Yasin Burak Özer, Chairman of the Board of the Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists Association. Afterwards, the sessions commenced. Four sessions were covered, titled CPR, Blue Code, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Special Situations, and Simulation. 

First Place goes to Üsküdar University… 

Yeter Aydemir, a second-year student of Üsküdar University Anesthesia Program, won first prize in the competition held during the simulation session.

Following the symposium, the IV. Difficult Airway Management Course was held at Kocaeli University Vocational School of Health Services.

Theoretical and practical training provided in 6 areas

In the IV. Difficult Airway Management course, 50 participants received one-on-one practical training in 6 groups. Theoretical and practical applied training was provided to participants in 6 areas prepared for ventilation techniques and difficult airway interventions.

Within the scope of the symposium and course, expert instructors and anesthesia technicians shared their experiences with participants and aimed to train qualified personnel in the profession by providing opportunities for practical application.

Expressing his thoughts on the symposium and course, Şengül said; “It was a great honor for me and my students to share this special time where we discussed evolving technologies in anesthesia, especially interventions in emergency situations. Our main goal is to increase the number of qualified personnel in the field of anesthesia. Organizing this educational symposium and workshop was not just an event, but also demonstrated the importance of teamwork and overcoming challenges. I sincerely thank all my student friends and colleagues.”
