Associate Professor Dr. Aylin Yalçın Sarıbey, Head of the Department of Criminal Justice at Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, participated as a speaker at the 16th International Forensic Sciences Congress, hosted by TOBB University of Economics and Technology in Ankara, along with 40 students pursuing Forensic Sciences Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral degrees. The study titled “Investigation of the Effects of Bullet Cores on Different Surfaces in the Target Line” was awarded the “Best Oral Presentation” prize.
“Best Oral Presentation” Award to Üsküdar University
At the congress where Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Yalçın Sarıbey participated as an invited speaker, a total of four oral presentations were delivered with two undergraduate and two graduate students. Among these presentations, the study titled “Investigation of the Effects of Bullet Cores on Different Surfaces in the Target Line” was awarded the “Best Oral Presentation.”

Sarıbey extended her thanks to everyone who contributed to the congress, stating: “I congratulate my undergraduate students Ümmühan Çakırtekin, Öykü Tuncay, and my graduate students Gülhanım Erdoğan, Mehlike Gezici who presented oral papers, as well as all participating students who provided morale, motivation, and moral support to their friends presenting papers, acting with a team spirit. I believe that by effectively participating in the congress, we, as Üsküdar University, left our mark. On this occasion, I extend my thanks to our Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan, our Acting Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zelka, and our Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sevil Atasoy, who is always a source of inspiration, for providing us with this wonderful atmosphere.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aylin Yalçın Sarıbey also visited Anıtkabir with all her students in Ankara, where they went for the 16th International Forensic Sciences Congress.
The students also made visits to various institutions, organizations, and museums in Ankara, making productive use of their time during the congress.
