Üsküdar University became the undefeated champion by winning all four matches in the Women's Volleyball ÜNİLİG Turkcell Super League Promotion matches, organized by the University Sports Federation at Afyon Kocatepe University.
On the last day of the tournament, Üsküdar University faced Başkent University and left the field with a 3-0 victory with sets of 25-14, 25-11, and 25-19, becoming the undefeated champion.
On the first day of the tournament, Monday, May 9, Üsküdar University's “Sultans,” who defeated Samsun 19 Mayıs University 3-1, made it two for two by defeating Ege University 3-2 on Tuesday, May 10. Üsküdar University also secured a 3-1 victory in the Anadolu University match on the 3rd day of the tournament and managed to defeat Başkent University without losing a set on the last day, being promoted to the Women's Volleyball ÜNİLİG Turkcell Super League.
Şaban Çıbık, the head coach of the undefeated champion team, stated after the match that he congratulated his students who became champions without defeat with an excellent performance in the matches they played. Çıbık said, 'We dedicate our championship to our teacher Zafer Atay, who passed away last December.'
Üsküdar University, which has been making a name for itself with the support given to sports in recent years by founding rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan and Chairman of the Board of Trustees Furkan Tarhan, has shown the success of being promoted to the Super League by maintaining its undefeated title in the volleyball branch, after futsal and korfball.
