Üsküdar University Took Its Place in the “Strengthening Together” Program

Üsküdar University participated in the “Strengthening Together: Leadership and Entrepreneurship Workshop Project for NGOs, Cooperatives, and the Business World,” organized by the Ministry of Interior Directorate General of Relations with Civil Society and coordinated by the Confederation of All Civil Society Organizations (TSTK). The event brought together representatives from the public sector, academia, civil society, and the business world to address topics such as leadership, entrepreneurship, social development, and corporate cooperation. During discussions held within the program, new cooperation opportunities in regional development and social innovation were evaluated, while Üsküdar University emphasized its continued support for social development through community contribution-focused projects.

The program, attended by Üsküdar University Community Contribution Coordinator Asst. Prof. Nebiye Yaşar, was held at the Istanbul Taşyapı Şişli Conference Hall. 

The event aimed to strengthen inter-sectoral cooperation by bringing together representatives from public institutions, universities, civil society organizations, cooperatives, and the business world.

Public Sector, Academia, and Civil Society Met on the Same Platform

The program addressed topics such as social development, leadership, entrepreneurship, and corporate cooperation. 

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Lawyer Assoc. Prof. Safa Koçoğlu Gürsoy, made evaluations regarding youth policies and the entrepreneurship ecosystem within the scope of the program. 

Hakan Gültekin, President of the Eastern Black Sea Project Regional Development Administration (DOKAP) and the Confederation of All Civil Society Organizations (TSTK), drew attention to the project's contribution to social development nationwide.

Social Impact, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainable Development Were on the Agenda

The sessions addressed public-academia-civil society collaborations, social impact-focused studies, good practice examples in cooperativism, branding processes, and sustainable growth models. Additionally, evaluations were made on new generation entrepreneurship approaches.

During the contacts made within the program, new cooperation opportunities in regional development, youth studies, and social innovation were also discussed. 

Üsküdar University Emphasizes Community Contribution…

Üsküdar University Community Contribution Coordinator's Office continues to develop projects centered on public benefit. The university aims to contribute to social innovation, volunteerism, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development-focused studies by establishing strong collaborations among the public sector, academia, and civil society.

In this context, it was emphasized that the cooperation protocol carried out with the Confederation of All Civil Society Organizations (TSTK) also creates an important foundation for joint social impact projects and sustainable development goals.
