Üsküdar University Students Secure Second Place at Istanbul Bridge Camp!

Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics Department 4th-year students Ekin Yaşar and Özgenur Bülbül achieved a significant success in the “Istanbul Bridge Camp Idea Marathon”. The students completed the competition in second place with their project named “VitisIno” and qualified to participate in the acceleration program conducted under Generation Unlimited. 

The Istanbul Bridge Camp Idea Marathon, held on February 13–14–15, was carried out within the scope of the 'Equalize the Future Project' conducted in partnership with UNICEF Turkey, in cooperation with MEF University, Paribu Hub, and StartupMEF. 

The event was hosted by the MEF Technology Development Center.

Innovative Projects Focused on Social Impact Developed

Throughout the three-day idea marathon, participating teams developed projects focused on social benefit in themes such as health and well-being, climate action, innovative education, and diversity, equity, and inclusion with artificial intelligence. 

Students, with mentorship and training support, had the opportunity to mature their ideas and transform them into viable business models.

They Placed Second with the 'VitisIno' Project!

The 'VitisIno' project, developed by Üsküdar University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Molecular Biology and Genetics Department 4th-year students Ekin Yaşar and Özgenur Bülbül, was among the top three projects as a result of the jury's evaluation.

The project drew attention with its innovative approach and potential for social impact, completing the competition in second place and being selected for the Generation Unlimited acceleration program.

Strong Support for Young Entrepreneurs…

While the first-place team at the end of the Istanbul Bridge Camp Idea Marathon won a gift voucher with Paribu's support, the projects placing in the top three will continue to be supported within the scope of the acceleration program. 

Throughout the program, trainers, mentors, and jury members guided young entrepreneurs with their knowledge and experience.

This success achieved by Üsküdar University students once again demonstrated the university's innovative, entrepreneurial, and social benefit-oriented educational approach.
